“What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?” As a young Fine Arts student, I felt quite inspired when I came across this quote from Vincent Van Gogh. And it has been my driving force ever since.
Tari was born out of a deep-rooted love for textiles and a passion for creating. What began as a shared passion with my treasured friend, has now become an exciting journey for me.
Founded in 2011 with just 25 hand-crafted sarees, Tari has blossomed into a humble, home-grown boutique in Sydney where we create and curate the finest handwoven sarees that capture the spirit and essence of India.

At Tari by Gayatri, we believe that the people, their skills, and the story behind each product are just as beautiful as the product itself. For us, the process of creation is as important as the completed piece.
Therefore, while endeavoring to touch the lives of our patrons with artful creations, we also see it as a means for our weavers and artisans to sustain their craft and be commissioned with a continuous flow of work.
